The Plateau State Police Command has taken two suspected members of the infamous Sara-Suka gang into custody during a security sweep designed to curb criminal operations across sections of the Jos North Local Government Area.

Police sources indicate that the suspects were caught after intelligence reports tied them to recent violent clashes and disturbances that have unnerved several neighborhoods within the Jos metropolis.

During the targeted raid, security personnel managed to recover an assortment of dangerous weapons along with quantities of suspected illicit drugs, which authorities believe were being used to fuel their criminal endeavors.

Police leadership stated that these arrests are a key element of their broader strategy to dismantle local criminal networks and restore lasting peace and safety throughout the state.

To support this mission, law enforcement teams have scaled up local surveillance and are systematically raiding known criminal hideouts to purge neighborhoods of cult violence, substance abuse, and other unlawful acts.

Local residents have expressed relief over the breakthrough, viewing the arrests as a vital step toward reinforcing community safety and safeguarding lives and property.

Furthermore, community leaders have publicly appealed to law enforcement agencies to keep up the pressure and ensure that anyone found breaking the law faces the full weight of justice.

The Police Command has reiterated its dedication to protecting the public and upholding law and order in Plateau State. Officials also reminded citizens to remain proactive by sharing swift, reliable information to help security agencies combat crime effectively.

The investigation is currently active, and the suspects will be formally charged in court as soon as police wrap up their inquiries.
