‎Award-winning media executive and creative strategist Dr. Sulaiman Kassim is being widely celebrated as one of the key driving forces behind Africa’s biggest television formats, with industry leaders describing him as a “kingmaker” in the entertainment space.
‎
‎CEO of Ayanda Media, Ayanda Ngwane, praised Kassim in glowing terms, calling him a “soul brother, dependable friend, investor, and one of the entertainment industry’s greatest masterminds.” She credited him as a major pillar in her professional journey, referring to him as her “Oga, my investor.”
‎
‎“Real ones are rare. Taking this moment to show gratitude to you, my Oga at the top. Today I stand proud. This win isn’t just yours, it’s ours. Take your flowers, brother. You’ve earned it all, Mate. Nakode,” Ngwane said.
‎
‎She also shared a lighthearted side of their working relationship, noting how she often pushes him to support ideas that “don’t make any economic sense,” only for him to calmly break down funding and sponsorship strategies while jokingly calling her “Yaya the Immortal, my distinguished press ambassador.”

‎
‎“He’s a man of order, loyalty, wisdom, and strategy who has consistently stood by me regardless of the wahala,” she added.
‎
‎Widely regarded as the creative force behind major African television productions such as Big Brother Nigeria and Nigerian Idol, Kassim has spent over 20 years shaping the continent’s media and entertainment landscape.
‎
‎He is the Co-Founder of Red Pepper Pictures Nigeria and Executive Producer of Nigerian Idol, which won Best Unscripted M-NET Original at the 2025 AMVCA.
‎
‎His career includes leadership roles at the Nigeria Television Authority, TV Gotel Yola, and Lighthouse Television & Filmworks. He also created and executive produces Sabon Tauraron Arewa on Africa Magic Hausa, spotlighting musical talent from Northern Nigeria.
‎
‎Beyond broadcasting, Kassim is also a cross-sector investor and advisor with interests spanning media, fashion, agriculture, skincare, and AI-powered mental health technology. He leads an international skill-transfer programme that trains young Nigerian producers and directors, many of whom now work with global clients.
‎
‎He currently serves as Co-Chairman of the Media & Publicity Committee for the 2025 National Industrial Manpower Summit under the Presidency.
‎
‎Ngwane concluded her tribute by saying, “Real ones are rare,” adding: “Today I stand proud. This win isn’t just yours, it’s ours. Take your flowers, brother. You’ve earned it all, Mate. Nakode.”
‎
‎With growing influence across television production, talent development, and investment, Dr. Sulaiman Kassim continues to be regarded as a central figure shaping the present and future of African entertainment.
