The Noella Foundation has hosted its Life After School (LAS 2026) Annual Summit, a flagship youth empowerment programme that brought together over 500 students, industry leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and changemakers to prepare young Nigerians for life beyond the classroom.
The summit focused on equipping participants with practical skills and insights needed to transition successfully from education into the workplace and entrepreneurship. Through keynote sessions, panel discussions, mentorship opportunities, and career-focused workshops, attendees were exposed to topics including career development, leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, employability, and personal growth.
The event also featured notable public and private sector leaders, who shared their experiences and urged students to embrace continuous learning, resilience, and innovation as they prepare for the future.What stood out most, perhaps, was the calibre of voices in the room.
Public and private sector leaders didn’t just deliver speeches — they shared lived experience, repeatedly circling back to three themes: continuous learning, resilience, and innovation. For a generation facing an increasingly competitive job market and economic uncertainty, it was a summit less about ceremony and more about survival tools for what comes next.
