President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to leave Abuja today to begin a three-week annual leave in Europe.

The President will start his break in London, United Kingdom, where he is set to spend part of the working vacation.

The update was confirmed in an official statement issued on August 30, 2026, by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

According to the announcement, President Tinubu will use the leave to rest before returning to Nigeria to engage in the upcoming political campaign leading up to the January 2027 general elections.

The three-week trip forms part of his official annual leave schedule. Upon completing the getaway, the President is slated to resume his official duties and join the campaign trail as political party activities intensify nationwide.

The Presidency did not disclose further details regarding the President’s exact schedule or additional stops during his time in Europe.
