‎President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has established the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council for the upcoming 2027 general election. Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has been appointed as the Director-General of the campaign council.

‎According to a report from News Point Nigeria, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma will serve as the council’s Secretary. President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima hold the positions of Chairman and Vice-Chairman I, respectively.

‎The announcements were shared in an official statement released on Saturday morning by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

‎The statement noted that APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, is designated as Vice-Chairman II of the Presidential Campaign Council.

‎APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, has been named Deputy Secretary, with Hadiza Bala-Usman appointed as Assistant Secretary.

‎Serving as Chairman, Tinubu will collaborate with an advisory group including Bisi Akande, Segun Osoba, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and Senator Florence Ita-Giwa.

‎Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni have been selected as Deputy Director-Generals covering the South and North campaign zones. They will operate alongside Senator Bamidele Opeyemi and Senator Jibril Barau.

‎Senator Adams Oshiomhole takes on the role of Deputy Director-General for Mobilisation, while Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, will function as Deputy Director-General for Administration.

‎James Faleke, who held a key position during the 2022/2023 campaign, returns as Deputy Director-General for Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring. He will partner with zonal directors, including Senator Olushola Adeyeye for the South-West, Dr Ngozi Olejeme for the South-South, Senator Uche Ekwunife for the South-East, Muntaqha Rabe for the North-West, Ahmed Muhammed Ketso for the North-Central, and Senator Sani Danladi for the North-East.

‎Stella Okotete, Abdullahi Garba Ramat, and Audu Maikori have been tasked with leading as Secretaries for the Election Planning Directorate.

‎The campaign’s legal team will be directed by Muiz Banire, SAN, with Liman Hassan and Babatunde Ogala acting as his deputies.

‎Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, will serve as Coordinating Director for Media and Strategic Communication alongside Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga, and Lanre Issa-Onilu.

‎Tunde Rahman, Sunday Dare, Daniel Bwala, and Felix Morka have been assigned as Coordinating Deputy Directors for media and strategy, while Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, Temitope Ajayi, Aderonke Arabirin, and Frederick Nwabufo will operate as Coordinating Secretaries.

‎Segun Dada resumes his prior 2022 campaign role as Director of New Media, working with Solomon Arowolo as Secretary.

‎The campaign council appointed five spokespersons led by Alake, alongside Alwan Hassan, Ayobami Oyalowo, Kemi Asekun-Shittu, and Adamu Fanda.

‎The statement highlighted that Tinubu directed all council members to exert every effort to secure victory for the party in the January 2027 elections. He urged directorate heads to engage party members not officially listed on the council and invite them to support the effort.

‎“We have delivered on our campaign promises and set our country on a path of economic progress. We are definitely out of the dark tunnel and are now at the cusp of reaping the benefits of a prosperous economy that will benefit all Nigerians,” the President said.

‎“As we march into the campaign season, we have many achievements to trumpet, let us confidently showcase our record and inspire hope in every corner of our nation.

‎“Let us soundly defeat all those forces who plan to take our country backwards,” Tinubu added.
