BUA Group Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu hosted Salem Aljaberi, the United Arab Emirates Consul General in Lagos, to discuss expanding investment pathways and deepening commercial ties between Nigeria and the UAE.

During the engagement, Rabiu commended the envoy’s role in boosting diplomatic and economic cooperation.

“It was a great honour to receive His Excellency Salem Aljaberi, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Lagos, at my office today,” Rabiu said.

The business leader highlighted the exchange as a constructive step toward shared commercial goals.

“It was a pleasure exchanging views on the opportunities ahead. I look forward to seeing the relationship between Nigeria and the UAE continue to grow stronger and deliver meaningful value for both countries,” he revealed.

Rabiu expressed appreciation to Aljaberi for the visit and his “continued commitment to building bridges” between both nations.

The dialogue comes as BUA Group continues to expand across key sectors in Nigeria’s economy, including manufacturing, cement, agriculture, infrastructure, and foods. Publicly listed entities such as BUA Cement and BUA Foods remain major contributors to local industrial production, job creation, and tax revenue.

Beyond corporate operations, the meeting underscored broader ambitions to drive international partnerships, foster trade, and attract foreign direct investment between the UAE and Nigeria. Rabiu noted that he anticipates these bilateral discussions will translate into tangible value for the economies and citizens of both countries.
