Angolan fashion designer Sara Mosquito has been honored at the African Award Leaders Excellence 2026 in the category of Impact and Trend in the Fashion Industry, reinforcing her position as one of the emerging voices of African luxury on the global stage. As the founder of Aras Nancy, Sara Mosquito has gained recognition for her distinctive approach, blending African identity with sophistication and a strong global vision.

Her creative signature, deeply inspired by Angola’s diamonds, has been showcased on international platforms, establishing a powerful narrative of African luxury. Although she was unable to attend the ceremony in person, the designer expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the responsibility that comes with it. “This recognition reinforces the importance of vision, consistency, and global positioning.

It is more than an award — it is a responsibility,” she stated. Through Aras Nancy, Sara Mosquito continues to work towards repositioning Africa not merely as a source of raw materials, but as a creator of luxury, culture, and innovation, transforming natural resources into global narratives of excellence.

This recognition comes at a strategic moment in her career, marked by the brand’s international expansion and the strengthening of the “Diamond Mindset” concept — a philosophy that reflects resilience, value, and transformation.

With this achievement, Sara Mosquito reaffirms her commitment to elevating Africa through fashion, contributing to the growth of the creative economy and the global projection of African talent.
