The Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, Esq., has lauded the organizers of Creative Corner 2.0 for establishing a vital platform that fosters talent and drives enterprise development.
Speaking at the Creative Corner Summit 2026, which took place at the International Conference Centre in Enugu State, Musawa highlighted the importance of such initiatives in the industry.
During the event, the Minister commended the forward-thinking leadership of Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah. She also highly praised the convener, Judith Okechukwu, describing her as the ideal role model for young Nigerian women. Musawa emphasized that the Creative Corner serves as a vital strategic ally for mentorship, networking, skills development, market integration, and creative business growth.
Reiterating the Federal Government’s dedication to the sector, Minister Musawa emphasized its role in diversifying the economy, generating employment, and strengthening national identity.
“The creative economy is not just about entertainment but also about turning our potential into value, jobs, and wealth for Nigerians,” she stated.
In a bid to bolster the industry, the Minister revealed plans by her ministry to expand Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

This initiative will introduce industry-tailored programs designed to prepare young creatives to become job creators rather than job seekers within the global digital economy. She further encouraged creators nationwide to take advantage of the ministry’s programs in funding, capacity building, strategic partnerships, and international market penetration.
Earlier in the program, the convener of Creative Corner 2.0, Judith Okechukwu, explained that the initiative was born out of a desire to provide a spotlight for talented but underrepresented creatives.
“The event was created as a response to what creators truly need: guidance, visibility, opportunity, and community. It was designed to be a space where talent is recognized, opportunities are real, and young people are encouraged to start, stand, and grow.
“Every big movement starts with one small idea. The dream keeping you up tonight could be the platform that changes lives tomorrow,” Ms. Okechukwu said.
The summit brought together several notable figures, including the Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia; celebrated Nollywood actor and humanitarian Williams Uchemba; numerous young creative minds; and key industry stakeholders.
