Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, has released his sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, which he describes as the start of a new phase in a music career spanning 15 years.

The 13-track project features collaborations with African and international acts including Leon Thomas, Black Sherif, Aya Nakamura, Mayorkun, FOLA, Llona, NO11, JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay. It marks a departure from the 17-track format he maintained across his previous five studio albums, making ORIADÉ his shortest to date.

The album is expected to launch another major phase of his career, with a world tour planned to follow its release and surprise guest appearances anticipated at concert dates. Davido announced the July 31, 2026 release date on June 29, sharing a social media video in which he appeared in regal Yoruba attire alongside a Yoruba eulogy reflecting the album’s title.

He captioned the post: “The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne.”ORIADÉ is his sixth studio LP and seventh major project overall since rising to prominence in Nigeria’s mainstream music scene more than a decade ago. The album was previewed by its lead single, “I Know Who I Be,” featuring South African duo JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay, which reflects on his musical journey and revisits his childhood home in its video.

A second single, “Gimme Dat Ting” featuring NO11, blends Afrobeats and Amapiano around themes of confidence and success. In an interview with Notion, Davido said the album was built to appeal to different categories of listeners, underscoring the shift from the longer, 17-track structure of his earlier work.
